A giant "Cat" has appeared in Gorky Park near the Golitsyn Pond - a new children's space where kids can climb, run, jump, swing, and more. The playground, which opened on Saturday, September 13, has become a unique decoration of the park and a new attraction for young visitors. The children's space "Cat" by developer PIK and Gorky Park features a huge figure of a sleeping cat, designed for play and sports entertainment. The creators of "Cat" were inspired by "Alice in Wonderland" - a kind and affectionate character from childhood. The cat looks like a real one, only very large, 4 meters high and 22 meters long. Its base consists of a metal frame filled with a special type of concrete. The realistic fur of the giant cat is made of safe rubber, and kids can climb on its whiskers and tail, as well as on the ropes, nets, and hundreds of grips attached to the figure. Inside the cat is a talking tube: if you meow into it, the cat will meow back. Around the central figure are an amphitheater made of oak stumps, trampolines, and double swings. The "Cat" space is a whole city for children, offering various play scenarios, modern, aesthetic, and functional. The playground was designed not only for entertainment but also to instill in children a caring attitude towards animals, nature, and urban spaces. In creating "Cat," PIK experts implemented their experience in creating children's play hubs - the developer already has 5 large playgrounds with unusual architecture and play equipment for children of different ages. In choosing the main character of the play space, PIK specialists considered public opinion. According to a VTsIOM survey, Russia is one of the most cat-loving countries: a cat lives in every second family. The new play space is located near the water transport rental station, on the site of the "Marine Adventures" playground.
