In a light and engaging manner, the kids will get acquainted with the history of the Winter Palace, the biographies of outstanding historical figures, and interesting facts from the life of the Russian Empire. The main goal of the tour is to captivate boys and girls of different ages with history and instill in them a desire to return to the Hermitage again and again. An experienced guide will lead the participants through the luxurious halls of the former imperial palace and teach them to pay special attention to the details of the interior. Participants will learn about the functions of each hall, after which incident the interiors of the palace had to be almost completely restored, what unusual symbol adorns the imperial throne, why there are 13 empty frames in the portrait gallery, and where exactly official receptions of high-ranking officials took place.
