Join us for an intimate seated Candelit Sessions evening with Alex Hart and Ashley Harding. Ashley Harding is a Welsh-born, Cornwall-based singer-songwriter and one of the UK’s most dedicated voices in modern Country and Americana. A full-time musician and guitar teacher, Ashley has earned a reputation on the live circuit for his authentic sound, strong songwriting, and deep connection with audiences. Drawing from the golden age of Country and Roots music, his songs speak to dreamers, fighters, lovers and losers, carried by a voice that feels both timeless and unmistakably his own. Ashley’s debut album, Spoon Music (2023) introduced him as a songwriter rooted in classic Country traditions. The album was widely praised across the UK and international Americana press, with reviewers highlighting both his vocal delivery and the emotional weight of his writing. Joining Ashley is our one of our faves (any many of yours too!) Alex Hart. South West based singer/songwriter Alex Hart has a busy 2026 planned with her full band and trio. This time she’s performing solo. At 18 Alex was noticed by producer Neil Stainton who honed her talent, worked with her during her early career and co-wrote and recorded her debut album ‘On This Day’. Alex also worked closely with musician and songwriter Barney Dine from Torbay with whom she co-wrote many songs from this album, songs afterwards and gigged extensively. During this time, she was able to grow as a musician and perfect her craft. From this she collaborated with electronic duo Electronic Youth on a cover of Angie Stones’ “I Wish I Didn’t Miss You” which had huge global radio success reaching No.2 in the Music Week Dance Charts and was supported by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1. This recognition spearheaded a run of high-profile festivals performances and a slot opening for UK folk sensation Turin Brakes at the Lyme Regis Folk festival. Alex’s opening performances landed her two record deals, as she was quickly snapped up by U.
