The Cinema Museum invites everyone to the Big Children's Festival - a large-scale project that brings together the best films of recent years created specifically for young viewers. The Big Children's Festival annually introduces children and teenagers to the most talented works of domestic directors, screenwriters, and animators. Here, films aimed at a young audience are shown - from kind adventures to coming-of-age stories and heroism. The goal of the festival is to draw attention to modern children's cinema and support the development of animation that can speak to children on equal terms. The artistic director of the festival is the People's Artist Sergey Bezrukov. This year’s program includes the kind adventure “My Wild Friend” about a boy who saved a fox cub and discovered the power of responsibility; the lyrical drama “Katya-Katya,” connecting wartime years with modernity; the cheerful detective story “Chizhik-Pyzhik Returns” about schoolchildren investigating a mysterious theft; and the warm family film “About My Mom and Me,” where two eras meet. The selection is complemented by the fantasy project “The Spark Against the Magical Well,” created with the support of the Ministry of Culture, as well as “Captain of the Fourth Rank” - about youths dreaming of naval service, and “Everyone Dreams of a Dog” - about first friendship and trust. A special place is occupied by the film “Abnormal” - an inspiring story about a boy who, despite diagnoses, finds within himself the talent and strength to move forward. The festival transforms the Cinema Museum into a space for communication and inspiration: after screenings, there are meetings with authors, discussions, and master classes. Guests can also look forward to a creative meeting with playwright Elena Isaeva, the author of the play “About My Mom and Me,” where viewers will learn how images are born and how literary stories are transformed into cinema. The Big Children's Festival is an opportunity to spend autumn days with the whole family watching kind and honest films created for children and with love for them.
