We explore what connects iconic domestic films of recent years and why established duos are so important for shaping the language of cinema. On July 31, a lecture will take place about the most expressive creative alliances in Russian cinema. Director and cameraman, screenwriter and director - it is in tandem that films are born with a recognizable style and genuine depth. Why do some duos work for decades while others disappear after one project? How does collaboration influence the visual language of the film and the development of dramaturgy? In the lecture by Evgenia Smikova - film critic, lecturer at the Knowledge Society, and author of the Telegram channel "Cinema Worshipper from St. Petersburg" - the audience will analyze specific examples from the modern Russian film industry to see how the language of cinema is built behind the scenes. The focus will be on the most influential cinematic duos of recent years and how their collaboration shapes a common artistic statement. Admission to the lecture is free, but prior registration is required.
