About

On stage - ballets by outstanding choreographers from Russia, the Czech Republic, and Israel. "In Dark Images" by Maxim Sevagin is set to the music of Antonio Vivaldi. The ballet was created for Perm and moved to MAMT in spring 2024. The ballet "Little Death" was created by Czech choreographer Jiří Kylián to the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and is dedicated to the composer. The premiere took place exactly 200 years after Mozart's death, in 1991, at the Salzburg Festival. In the performance "Little Death", the choreographer used the most melodic compositions of the composer, in particular - fragments from his piano concertos. The production features 12 people, an equal number of male and female dancers, and six inanimate objects - rapiers, which replace partners during the performance and sometimes seem more alive and uncontrollable than the dancers themselves. The program will conclude with Ohad Naharin's ballet "Minus 16", in which the choreographer turned the audience into participants in what is happening on stage.
