A choreographic fairy tale for children and adults will be performed by the artists of the Art Center "Saint-Michel". The performance is created in the St. Petersburg traditions of classical dance, and in addition to well-known numbers, it includes the restored "Adagio with a scarf". The performance features music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and choreography by Mikhail Veshchikov, bringing audiences back to the original production performed at the Mariinsky Theatre in 1892. The main character, a girl named Masha, on Christmas Eve, falls into a magical dream on the border of reality and fantasy. The wooden doll, the Nutcracker, which she received as a gift, comes to life, and together they must defeat the mouse army. Then the wooden figure transforms into a handsome prince who invites Masha to visit his magical land, while her heart begins to feel the first sensation of love. The performance includes key numbers created by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, as well as the restored "Adagio with a scarf" for the first time in a hundred years.
