A ballet with unexpected visual solutions - the result of searching for the key to the performance in Hoffmann's text. In 2022, the famous ballet by Tchaikovsky celebrated its 130th anniversary. Without "The Nutcracker," the repertoire of any major Russian ballet theater is impossible, and it is also hard to imagine a New Year's program without it. The atmosphere of New Year and Christmas, filled with the anticipation of a miracle, is infused in Tchaikovsky's music and the ballet's storyline. Yuri Posokhov offers a new choreographic interpretation of the classic performance, while scenographer Polina Bakhtina complements it with her unusual design.
