Generations of young readers have grown up on Chukovsky's tale of adventures in the kingdom of insects (but actually - people). It is a classic for all times, loved by both children and parents. Choreographer Kirill Simonov decided to imagine how the characters of the fairy tale would study in school. It turned out that bullying thrived in their school, and the brave Komarik saved Mukh from the bullies. The story concludes with a school ball, where Mukh and Komarik became the king and queen. The ballet is accompanied by music based on Dmitry Kabalevsky's rhapsody "School Years," performed on stage by a piano duet. The performance is recommended for children over 8 years old.
