A ballet about girls transformed into swans by a sorcerer has been stirring the hearts of audiences for over one hundred and fifty years. The genius music and choreography have immortalized the fairy tale of love, and the ballet's popularity endures. The dark wizard Rothbart has turned Princess Odette and her friends into white swans, and they can only regain their true form at night. They would remain trapped in the bodies of birds if it weren't for Prince Siegfried. Upon seeing Odette, he falls in love and vows eternal love to her. This vow could break Rothbart's spell, and the sorcerer intends to prevent that. He deceives Siegfried into breaking his vow and betraying Odette... The performance by the "Saint-Michel" Theatre includes numbers lost in the 20th-century revisions. The visual imagery is also inspired by the original production of the ballet in 1895 at the Mariinsky Theatre. The costumes of the artists are made in the Empire style, which makes the plasticity of their characters more free and graceful.
