How did the version of the artist's Turkish origin arise? What is known about the childhood of Ovanes Aivazyan? How was the artist connected to ballet? Why did his first marriage break down, even though there were four children in the family? Was the second union happy? The lecture will seek answers to these and other questions. The art investigation will touch on 30 historical figures and over 70 documents, so the narrative promises to be visual and rich.
