Today, just like yesterday, Mexico possesses a strength and legitimacy that identifies us as a people, expressed in multiple cultural manifestations: the richness and diversity of its languages, the use of color among its indigenous peoples, its rites and beliefs, as well as its traditions and dances. Elements that distinguish and differentiate us, but at the same time define and recognize our Mexican being. Mexico is tradition and folk art, represented and expressed through the creativity and artistic sensitivity of its people. Undoubtedly, regional dances and performances constitute one of the artistic manifestations that evoke the most amazement and fascination due to the richness of their forms, colors, and aesthetic sense; traits that characterize and distinguish the Folkloric Ballet of the University of Guanajuato.
